A Soccer Community For Coaches, Players, and Parents
by Brayden Currin, Convene Soccer’s Community Leader
Convene Soccer is not only applicable to players, but coaches and parents as well. Coaches can browse the community and learn to tackle various coaching problems, such as what formation to run with the given talents on the team. Parents can learn how to handle setbacks that their young player faces or how to teach their player to handle the pressures that accompany the youth soccer world. The possibilities for shared learning through Convene Soccer are endless.
I can only imagine how helpful a tool like Convene Soccer would have been throughout the earlier years of my soccer career. I can recall countless times where the Convene Training app would have helped me learn a new position or where I needed to be when my team didn’t have possession of the ball. Those are the types of subjects that the app will help with. It will provide a method of learning that can be done away from the practice and game field. A method communicated through scenario-based learning, which can be achieved through sharing video, pictures, blogs and graphic images about different soccer scenarios.
Convene Soccer can help with:
Positioning with and without the ball
A team learning to run a new formation
Team offensive and defensive shape
Attacking and Defensive strategies
Learning to run an off-side trap
Learning to run different free kick routines
Learning corner kick plays
